Further models for proton-transfer reactions

Abstract

An earlier central-force model for proton-transfer reactions is extended to include the case when the two basic centres attract the proton according to different laws of force. The dependence of the Brönsted coefficients on the symmetry of the transition state or the free energy of reaction is similar to that found previously for the more symmetrical model.
