Electron spin resonance investigation of cation-radical salts of N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyl-p-phenylenediaminium (TMPD) hexafluorophosphate, hexafluoroarsenate and hexafluoroantimonate

Abstract

The cation-radical salts of N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyl-p-phenylenediaminium (TMPD) hexafluorophosphate, hexafluoroarsenate and hexafluoroantimonate have been isolated. The temperature dependences of the hyperfine splitting constants of these salts have been investigated in solution. Also, it was found by means of e.s.r. spectroscopy that these salts follow the Curie–Weiss law in the solid state.
