Synthesis and rearrangements of ethoxycarbonyl-substituted but-3-enyl- and cyclopropylmethyl-(pyridine)cobaloximes

Abstract

Isomeric ethoxycarbonyl-substituted but-3-enyl- and cyclopropylmethyl-(pyridine)cobaloximes undergo trifluoroacetic acid-catalysed equilibration; the significance of this and other observations for the mechanism of B12-dependent α-methyleneglutarate mutase is discussed.
