Determination of dimetridazole residues in poultry tissues by high-performance liquid chromatography

Abstract

A high-performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed for the determination of the anti-histomoniasis drug dimetridazole. Recoveries of the drug down to 0.01 mg kg–1“spiked” on to poultry tissues are 80% or above and the method has been applied to the determination of residues in tissues from broiler chickens and turkeys.
