Inter-laboratory calibration for pesticide analysis in South Africa

Abstract

The organising and running of four inter-laboratory calibration exercises in South Africa in 1981 are described. Analyses of a solution containing pesticides, margarine and fruit pulp fortified with pesticides and a potato sample with incurred residues were carried out. The results indicate that most laboratories produced acceptable results. This type of exercise should be continued.
