Nuclear magnetic relaxation by quadrupolar interaction of ionic nuclei in non-aqueous solvents. Part 2.—Ion association in solutions of RbI in formamide and N-methylformamide

Abstract

87 Rb, 127I and 14N magnetic relaxation rates are reported for solutions of RbI dissolved in formamide and N-methylformamide. The mean-square electric-field gradients at the cationic and anionic nuclei indicate the presence of higher ion associates.
