Time-resolved fluorescence measurements and excitation spectroscopy of single crystals of Na[UO2(OOCCH3)3] at 4.2 K show the presence of two types of perturbed centre whose relative concentrations appear to be independent of the method of preparation. A model is proposed in which the sodium ions are partially disordered.
