Reactions of silylated Schiff bases with trichloro(cyclopentadienyl)-titanium, dichloro(cyclopentadienyl)methoxotitanium, and dichloro-bis(methoxo)titanium

Abstract

The interactions of silylated quadridentate Schiff bases OO′-bis(trimethylsilyl)-NN′-ethylenebis(salicylideneimine) and -NN′-o-phenylenebis(salicylideneimine) with [Ti(η-C₅H₅)Cl₃], [Ti(η-C₅H₅)Cl₂(OMe)], and [TiCl₂(OMe)₂] are described. Structures for the compounds are proposed on the basis of elemental analyses, i.r. and ¹H n.m.r. spectroscopic data.
