Reactions of silylated Schiff bases with trichloro(cyclopentadienyl)-titanium, dichloro(cyclopentadienyl)methoxotitanium, and dichloro-bis(methoxo)titanium

Abstract

The interactions of silylated quadridentate Schiff bases OO′-bis(trimethylsilyl)-NN′-ethylenebis(salicylideneimine) and -NN′-o-phenylenebis(salicylideneimine) with [Ti(η-C5H5)Cl3], [Ti(η-C5H5)Cl2(OMe)], and [TiCl2(OMe)2] are described. Structures for the compounds are proposed on the basis of elemental analyses, i.r. and 1H n.m.r. spectroscopic data.
