Exclusive free radical dediazoniation of benzenediazonium ions by β-cyclodextrin

Abstract

Dediazoniation of substituted benzenediazonium ions is accelerated by β-cyclodextrin and proceeds through a radical pathway, forming X–C6H4–H whatever the substituent (X) or the atmospher (N2 or O2).
