Active sites for the oxidation of carbon monoxide on V2O5 catalysts

Abstract

Surface defects such as steps, kinks, or vacancies are actives sites for the oxidation of CO on V2O5 catalysts; the activity of surfaces V[double bond, length half m-dash]O species located in the smooth (010) face is much lower than of the surface defects.
