Photocatalytic oxidation of organic compounds using heteropoly electrolytes of molybdenum and tungsten

Abstract

The photosensitivity of heteropoly-compounds in the presence of organic compounds, which results in reduction of the former and oxidation of the latter, coupled with the ease of reoxidation, by oxygen, of some of the heteropoly-compounds, provides the basis for photocatalytic oxidation of organic compounds.
