Amino- and diamino-o- and p-benzosemiquinones have been generated by autoxidation of the corresponding aminodihydroxy compounds in ethanol solution. Well-resolved e.s.r. spectra were recorded, using a static system, and the coupling constants obtained assigned by comparison with those of related species and by McLachlan's SCF method.
