Standard free energy of transfer of a solute from water into micelles

Abstract

The concept of the ‘standard free energy of transfer’ of a solute from water into micelles is critically examined. It is shown that there is no unambiguous way of defining this concept. A possible method of processing experimental data is suggested and discussed.
