Abstract

A reported reaction of 2,5-bis(alkylsulphiny)-1,3,4-thiadiazole 1,1-dioxides with 6-dimethylamino-fulvene involved 2,5-bis(alkylsulphonyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazoles as reactants, and proceeded in a way entirely different from the one suggested.
