Photocyclisation between allyltrimethylsilane and 1,4-naphthoquinone and ring cleavage of the resulting cyclobutane assisted by the trimethylsilyl group

Abstract

Trimethylsilyl group-assisted opening of the cyclobutane ring of the product of the photochemical reaction of allyltrimethylsilane with 1,4-naphthoquinone followed by oxidation leads to the formation of allyl-naphthoquinone.
