Cation-radical transfer: transfer efficiency in photosensitized isomerization reactions

Abstract

The efficiency of cation-radical transfer was studied by photosensitized isomerization of cyclobutanes; the exothermic photosensitized isomerization occurs efficiently, while the rate of the endothermic isomerization decreases drastically with increase in the electron-tansfer barrier.
