The crystal and molecular structure of 1,3-bis(thiocarbamoyl)-2-NN-dimethylaminopropane hydrochloride (Cartap)

Abstract

The crystal and molecular structure of 1,2-bis(thiocarbamoyl)-2-NN-dimethylaminopropane hydrochloride (II) was determined from three-dimensional diffractometer data with 1 910 observed reflections. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P212121 with a= 9.861(1), b= 9.987(1), c= 13.006(2)Å, Z= 4. The structure was solved by the heavy atom method and refined by least squares to R 0.075 and Rw 0.082.
