Fifth virial coefficient for the lennard-jones fluid in two dimensions. Integral-equation results

Abstract

The third-order term in the density expansion of the radial distribution function for the Lennard-Jones fluid in two dimensions is calculated with the aid of the Percus–Yevick and Hypernetted Chain theories. The Percus–Yevick energy-equation values are adopted as the best estimates of the fifth virial coefficient and are reported together with the best available results for the lower coefficients. The estimation of the critical-point parameters is only slightly affected by the addition of the fifth virial term.
