Synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of the S3N– ion
Abstract
The reaction of S4N– with triphenylphosphine in acetonitrile produces S3N– which reacts with NiCl2 to give Ni(S3N)2; vibrational spectra of S3*N–(*N = 30%15N) suggest an –S–NSS arrangement of atoms in the anion.
