Tungsten complexes with bridging alkylidyne ligands: X-ray crystal structure of [(η-Me6C6)(OC)2Cr(µ-CC6H4Me-4)W(CO)2(η-C5H5)]·CH2Cl2

Abstract

The alkylidyne tungsten complex [W[triple bond, length half m-dash]CC6H4Me-4(CO)2(η-C5H5)] reacts with low-valent compounds of chromium, manganese, rhenium, cobalt, and rhodium to afford heteronuclear dimetalla complexes with a bridging CC6H4Me-4 ligand; the molecular structure of [CrW-(µ-CC6H4Me-4)(CO)4(η-C5H5)(η-C6Me6)] is established by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study.
