Abstract

One of the products from the reaction of 6,6′-(B10H13)2O with cis-[PtCl2(PMe2Ph)2]is [Pt2(η3-B6H9)2(PMe2Ph)2], which is shown by X-ray crystallography to have a Pt–Pt bond with two bridging bidentate η3-nido-hexaboranate ligands.
