Migration of the diphenylphosphinoyl group in competition with the phenylthio-, methylthio-, or methoxy-groups from the same migration origin

Abstract

When both functional groups are present at the same migration origin. Ph2PO migrates in preference to MeO. Either Ph2PO or RS may migrate depending on the substituents at the migration terminus. Fragmentation reactions compete with rearrangement in both cases. 13C N.m.r. spectra of reactants and products are reported.
