Reaction kinetics involving ground X2Π and excited A2Σ+ hydroxyl radicals. Part 2.—Rate constants for reactions of OH X2Π with halogenomethanes and halogenoethanes

Abstract

Resonance-fluorescence detection of OHX2Π radicals in a discharge–flow system has been used to determine a number of rate constants kRH for reactions of the type OH + RH → R + H2O. The temperature range was from 293 to ≈ 425 K. The results (1 σ) were as follows: [graphic omitted]
