Alternative interpretation of infrared spectra of the zeolite NaHY + but-1-ene system

Abstract

Comparing the infrared spectra of a zeolite NaHY + but-1-ene system of Ceckiewicz et al. with those of a zeolite NaA + but-1-ene system of Förster and Seelemann, we propose an alternative interpretation. From our point of view the former spectra are not in accordance with an oligomerization, fragmentation or further side reactions. In contrast, they only reflect the isomerization to the corresponding n-butenes.
