Temperature dependence of the inter-diffusion coefficient for very dilute solutions of 1,1,2,2-tetrabromoethane in hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDSO) and hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS)

Abstract

The translational diffusion coefficients of 1,1,2,2-tetrabromoethane in hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDSO) and hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS) have been studied at 20, 25, 30, 35, 45 and 65°C. The results have been analysed in relation to the different physical properties of these two solvent molecules with apparently similar chemical structure.
