Molecular structure of tetrakis-µ-trifluoroacetato-dimolybdenum(II), [Mo2(O2CCF3)4]; a gas-phase electron-diffraction study

Abstract

The molecular structure and interatomic dimensions of [Mo2(O2CCF3)4] in the gas phase at 150 °C have been determined by electron-diffraction measurements and shown to be similar to those obtained by X-ray diffraction methods; dimensions obtained include Mo–Mo 2.105(9), Mo–O 2.102(6)Å, and Mo–Mo–O 91.9(3)°.
