Decomposition of diazoalkanes induced by electron transfer from fluoren-9-yl anions

Abstract

Electron transfer from fluoren-9-yl anions to 9-diazofluorene initiates a dual entry into an anion-radical chain reaction yielding azines which, from 15N-labelling studies, are formed at least in part without intervention of a carbene radical anion.
