Synthesis and X-ray structure of a dinuclear cyclodiphosph(III)azane, [(PhNH)P2(NPh)2]2NPh

Abstract

The dinuclear cyclodiphosph(III)azane [(PhNH)P2(NPh)2]2NPh (1) is obtained in high yield from the reaction of aniline with PCl3; a single crystal X-ray analysis shows that both cyclodiphosph(III)azane rings adopt a cis isomeric configuration.
