Temperature-controlled addition vs. abstraction by methylthiyl radical with cyclopentene

Abstract

Both the radical adducts of addition to and hydrogen abstraction from cyclopentene by methylthiyl radical (MeSĀ·) have been detected by e.s.r. spectroscopy.
