Transalkenylations using tin reagents: a general method for the preparation of σ-alkenyl(halogeno) derivatives of the early transition metals, and of the first alkenyl derivative of scandium

Abstract

The new species MRnClm[M = Sc, Ti, Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta, Mo, or W; R = CPh[double bond, length half m-dash]CMe2; n= 1 (or 2 in some cases)] have been prepared from Me3SnR or SnR4 and appropriate halides in a clean, room temperature reaction.
