Structure of the product obtained from the reaction of an αα′-dibromophosphane oxide with 1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-ene and other bases

Abstract

The compound previously assigned a triphenylphosphiren oxide structure, as well as other base-induced rearrangement products of bis-(α-bromobenzyl)phenylphosphane oxide, are shown to be (E)-1,2-diphenylvinyl(phenyl)phosphinic acid derivatives.
