Diterpenoids of Leonotis Species. Part 5. Leonitin, a 9,13-epoxylabdane from L. leonitis R. Br.

Abstract

The grindelane diterpenoid, leonitin, C22H30O7, isolated from L. leonitis R. Br., is identified as 20-acetoxy-9,13-epoxylabda-6(4), 16(15)-diol dilactone (1), and has been related to nepetaefolinol from L. nepetaefolia.
