SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
(Z)-Heneicos-6-en-11-one (5) has been synthesized in four steps from 2-hydroxytetrahydropyran, with an overall yield of 51%. The key step, a Wittig reaction, was found to be practically stereospecific (>98%).
