Electron energy-loss spectra for carbon dioxide, carbonyl sulphide and carbon disulphide

Abstract

Electron energy-loss spectra, obtained using the trapped-electron technique, are presented for CO2, COS and CS2. The spectra are used to identify low-lying electronic states, including a number of triplet states, in COS and CS2.
