Resonance-Raman spectroscopy of tris(1,2-dithiolene) complexes of vanadium, molybdenum, and tungsten

Abstract

The resonance-Raman spectra of the complexes [V(S2C2Ph2)3], [V(S2C2Ph2)3], and [M(mnt)3]2–(M = V, Mo, or W) have been recorded with a variety of exciting lines in the visible region. The results of this investigation are combined with an existing molecular-orbital scheme to produce a set of assignments for the electronic transitions of the complexes in the visible region.
