Reactions of tellurium oxides with alkali-metal oxides and hydroxides

Abstract

The double oxides Na2TeO4, K2TeO4, K2TeO3, and the triple oxides Na4Te2O7 and K4Te2O7 have been prepared by solid-state reactions of TeO3 and TeO3·H2O with M2O and M [OH](M = Na or K) and have been characterised by their X-ray diffraction patterns. The transformations and structures of the products obtained are discussed.
