Rhodium(I) complexes of diallyl ethers and related compounds

Abstract

The preparation of a range of stable diallyl ether complexes of RhI by displacement of ethylene from [Rh(C2H4)2(pd)](pd = pentane-2,4-dionate) is described. A number of related rhodium(I) complexes of diallylamines, allyl acrylate, diallyl sulphone, and 4,4-diacetylhepta-1,6-diene are also reported. The complexes are characterised by spectroscopic methods, and an X-ray crystal structure of (but-2-enyl 1-methylallyl ether)pentane-2,4-dionato-rhodium is reported.
