Multinuclear magnetic resonance studies. Part 3. Compounds with phosphorus–oxygen–phosphorus or phosphorus–sulphur–phosphorus bridges

Abstract

Phosphorus-31 and carbon-13 spectra are reported for four compounds containing P–S–P bridges, [R2P(S)]2S (R = Me, Pri, But, or Ph), and two with P–O–P links, Me2P(X)–O–(Y) PMe2(X = Y = S; X = O, Y = S). Phosphorus-31 relaxation data are also given for the former compounds. ‘Carbon-13 satellites’ in 31P resonance have yielded values for JPP in some cases.
