A haemocyanin model: a synthetic copper(I) complex having imidazole ligands and reversible dioxygen activity

Abstract

A synthetic CuI compound (IV) having two imidazole ligands has been found to bind dioxygen reversibly in both the solid and solution states at room temperature.
