Preparation of some S-methyl thiiranium salts of adamantylideneadamantane. Demethylation and desulphurization with nucleophiles

Abstract

S-Methylthiiranium salts derived from adamantylideneadamantane have been synthesized and their chemistry has been investigated; the first examples of dealkylation with preservation of the three-membered ring have been discovered.
