Abstract

Chlorine monofluoride oxidatively chlorofluorinates tetrafluoro-1,3-dithietan to form the first example of a stable fluorine-containing dichlorosulphur compound, [graphic omitted]F2; with LiN[double bond, length half m-dash]C(CF3)2 and CH3N[Si(CH3)3]2, the first examples of fluorinated pentaco-ordinate dichlorosulphimides, [(CF3)2CFN[double bond, length half m-dash]][graphic omitted]F2 and (CH3N[double bond, length half m-dash])[graphic omitted]F2 are obtained.
