Complete polarisation measurements in resonance Raman spectroscopy using linear and circular polarisation modulation techniques

Abstract

We describe a simple technique whereby the complete resonance Raman polarisation spectra, both linear and circular, may be obtained by modulation techniques. This has several advantages in accuracy and reliability. Furthermore the complete data may be obtained from only two spectral scans. The technique is illustrated with the resonance Raman spectrum of cytochrome-c.
