Abstract

The preparation and characterisation of the η-bonded ketone complexes [Pt(η-CF2ClCOCF2X)(PPh3)2](X = For Cl) are reported. The complexes isomerise in solution to cis-[PtCl(CF2COCF2X)(PPh3)2]. The kinetics of isomerisation of [Pt(η-CF2ClCOCF3)(PPh3)2] are described, and the isomerisation mechanism discussed.
