Structure and stability of carboxylate complexes. Part 17. Stability constants of some mercury(I) carboxylates
Abstract
Complex formation between mercury(I) ions and a series of unsubstituted and substituted monocarboxylates (including some potentially bidentate ligands) has been studied by precise potentiometric titration at 25.00 °C in 3 mol dm–3 sodium perchlorate medium. A linear-free-energy plot indicates that unidentate complexes are formed in all the systems studied.
