Synthesis of 1β-hydroxyvitamin D3 and 1β,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3

Abstract

1β-Hydroxyvitamin D3 and 1β,25-dihydroxy-vitamin D3 have been prepared from the corresponding 1α-epimers by a convenient three-step process involving the 1-oxoprevitamin forms as the key intermediates.
