Synthesis, chemical reactivity, and X-ray molecular structure of pentakis(t-butyl isocyanide)iron

Abstract

The highly reactive iron(0) complex [Fe(ButNC)5] has been synthesised, some oxidative-addition reactions delineated, and the molecular structure established by a single crystal X-ray diffraction study.
