Sulphur dioxide extrusion from substituted thiiren 1,1-dioxides

Abstract

Rate data for sulphur dioxide extrusions from thiiren 1,1-dioxides correlate best with the sum of the σp+ substituent constants and are consistent with a stepwise cleavage of the two carbon–sulphur bonds.
