The title cyclotetrapeptide was synthesised through cyclisation of the corresponding linear N-tosyl-N′-benzyloxycarbonyltetrapeptide with imidazole and o-phenylene chlorophosphite, followed by deprotection. Cyclodi-[L-(α-benzyloxycarbonylamino)-β-alanylglycyl] has been prepared by cyclodimerisation.
