Rayleigh scattering. Depolarisation ratios of cyclohexane, carbon tetrachloride and benzene

Abstract

Depolarisation ratios (ρv) of laser-light (λ= 632.8 nm and λ= 441.6 nm) scattered at 90° by the liquids cyclohexane, carbon tetrachloride and benzene have been determined. The results for 632.8 nm are in good agreement with those from low-angle light scattering studies.
