Exchange splitting of the chromium 3s signals in the X-ray photoelectron spectra of K3Cr(CN)6 and K3Cr(NCS)6

Abstract

The X-ray photoelectron spectra of K3Cr(CN)6 and K3Cr(NCS)4 H2O have been re-examined. Contrary to previous reports the form of the chromium 3s signals is in line with that observed in other chromium(III) compounds.
